# How to add themes

Hi,

we have a source code installation of Taiga. I would like to add a custom theme to Taiga. I have read [Taiga Documentation - Themes](https://docs.taiga.io/#themes) but I cannot find any `/app/themes` directory nor the two `variables.scss` and `custom.scss` files.

Is the documentation still valid?

Hi,

The files you are looking for can be found [here](https://github.com/kaleidos-ventures/taiga-front/tree/main/app/themes/taiga). This is the default Taiga theme that you should duplicate to create a custom theme.
