Having started working in IT development in 2016, I was quickly put in charge of the technical direction of various projects I was entrusted with over the course of my career, including 2.5 years as CTO.

As well as acquiring purely technical skills (development, software architecture, pipeline automation, etc.), I was confronted with all the difficulties inherent in project management: planning, managing service providers, lack of a documented process, arbitration, etc., from which I was able to learn lessons and understand the importance of a solid methodology.

In 2024 I created BIRU with a few coworkers for a different company model: everyone has a say in the big decisions and the company’s profit is equally redistributed to the people that actually made it: the employees. We are a cooperative company, very engaged in giving back to the opensource community and creating quality software that provide actual real value to our customers.

We are specialised in developing custom business tools following a user-centered approach; our main stack is Django and Angular.
