[Feature Request] Remember/default the expanded state of related User Stories on Epic detail pages

When opening an Epic detail page, I would like Taiga to either show the related User Stories expanded by default or remember the user’s previous expand/collapse preference.

Problem

The related User Stories section on an Epic is always collapsed. In workflows where Epics primarily organize and monitor User Stories, users often want to see those stories immediately.

Currently, this results in a repetitive workflow:

  1. Open an Epic.
  2. Expand the related User Stories section.
  3. Review the stories.
  4. Navigate to another Epic.
  5. Expand the section again.

When reviewing many Epics, this extra interaction becomes noticeable.

Proposed solutions

Any of the following would address the issue:

Preferred: Remember the user’s choice

If a user expands the User Stories section, remember that preference, for example in browser/local user preferences.

On subsequent Epic pages, use the same state.

Alternative: User preference

Add a preference such as:

Epic related User Stories
:check_box_with_check: Expand by default

Simpler alternative: Expanded by default

Change the initial state so related User Stories are expanded when an Epic detail page loads.

Expected behavior

If I choose to keep related stories expanded:

Open Epic A
  └─ User Stories: Expanded

Open Epic B
  └─ User Stories: Expanded

Reload Epic B
  └─ User Stories: Expanded

The preference should ideally apply across Epics rather than requiring individual configuration for every Epic.

Why this would help

For teams that organize most of their work through Epics, the collection of related User Stories is one of the most important parts of the Epic detail view. Making it immediately visible speeds up navigation and Epic review.

It would also preserve the existing compact interface for users who prefer collapsed sections if the setting is implemented as a remembered or configurable preference.

Environment

  • Self-hosted Taiga
  • Docker

Thank you for considering the feature.
