Not able to add members to a project

I added the email id and role and then clicked Invite. I get an error “To add members to a project, first you have to verify your email address”

I am the “admin”. Can someone help?

I am able to see the the link to verify my email address in profile page. Once done, this function is working fine. However, I was able to send invitation to add members in the past. Not sure why I was asked to verify my email now.
