But I can’t find taiga-async-tasks in either of the ‘taigaio’ and ‘kaleidos-ventures’ Github organisations.
Where should I look, please?

Async tasks are in several repositories, like taiga-events and taiga-back. You configure them with celery/rabbitmq and the like. Please read the entire document first, and you will see that there is no specific component for that.
