I just wanted to say hello to the Taiga Community and the project maintainers and developers. We have successfully completed a migration from Pivotal Tracker and enjoying the benefits of Taiga. We are self hosting within our Safe, Secure Cloud (SSC).
We are using to Taiga to for a range of purposes.
Running the Mydex SSC Roadmap which comprises of set of core APIs, Front End Applications, an Information Security Management System and our core Infrastructure management and our core Architecture.
We run our SSC development pipelines in two specific projects one covering our core APIs and another for our Front End Applications.
We have been delighted with the functionality within Taiga and as developers ourselves we welcome the community endeavour and innovation especially the Taiga API which is enabling us to more tightly integrate across our own internal applications that run the Safe, Secure Cloud, all built on open source components.
I will have our infrastructure team to write a blog about the set up of Taiga and the migration from Pivotal making use of both APIs and some DevOps magic in between which enabled us to migrate our complete archive of projects and combine and consolidate some others.
We managed to ensure referential integrity from within comments and descriptions that referenced other pivotal epics and stories which were seamlessly replaced with our Taiga internal URL
We are ISO27001 Independently certified for our information security management systems company wide and that is all about evidence and audit trails so the history had to come with us and its integrity maintained
We are focusing in configuring our use of EPICS, Stories, Tasks, Sprints, Kanban Swim lanes and of course tags as well as finding the best way to manage backlogs. Taiga has given us some wonderful new capabilities.
There are a few things we notice missing compared to Pivotal but so many benefits in adopting Taiga we can adapt. I will share in due course a Pivotal Cross Mapping of capabilities we have found do not exist in Taiga but did in Pivotal as it will help anyone else migrating to Taiga
