Is there any way to add a start date in the project, Project task, and project user stories?

Hey William,

There’s no specific field for you to add a start date, but there are a few options that might come in handy.

  • When a project is created, it gets logged in the project’s timeline. However, it becomes a bit tricky to track down as the project progresses and the entries pile up. If you want that data always to be visible, maybe you could toss it into the project description.
  • When you create a story or a task, the creation date gets recorded along with the creator’s name. You’ll find it at the top of the story or task detail. If you want to have the ability to add the date yourself, you can add a custom field to stories and tasks (project settings/attributes/custom fields). This way, you’ll have that field ready to fill in for all stories or tasks.
