It used to be that sprints closed automatically when you finished everything in the sprint. That seems to not work anymore. I made sure all tasks are moved to the done column and even changed to done the user stories themselves manually. We have now 2 old sprints and 1 current sprint

Have you checked if you have any storyless task in your sprint, or maybe a sprint issue? Those need to be closed as well.
