A user with the stakeholder role can do much more than is allowed according to the permissions.

For example, they can create new user stories in the backlog, change existing statuses, and so on.

I also tried to create a completely new role that could only create issues. But users who only had this role could also create and edit stories, among other things.

Hi there,

We just checked on https://tree.taiga.io and that does not seem to be the case. With the default Stakeholder role, a user can only view and comment on most elements, as well as create and edit issues.

Are you using https://tree.taiga.io? If so, please write an email to support@taiga.io and we will review your project and permissions.

Best regards!
